U.S. Green Building Council Sirus New Membership

SIRUS has recently become a member of the “U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)”, responsible of the LEED green building certification program (www.usgbc.org).

Across the country, companies and organizations in every industry, in every sector and of every size are bringing meaningful change to the way we design, build and operate buildings.

The U.S. Green Building Council and its member organizations are dedicated to transforming our built environment so that the places we live, work, learn and play become tools in our quest for environmental sustainability, economic prosperity and social equity. Buildings represent a tremendous opportunity to mitigate climate change, conserve water, reduce pollution and nurture human health. The green building movement will only succeed in maximizing this opportunity if we all actively engage in an ongoing conversation to drive innovation and transform the marketplace.

The USGBC community is the heart of this critical conversation.

USGBC’s diverse contributions include the LEED® green building certification program, the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, a robust selection of educational offerings, a thriving network of local chapters making grassroots change across the country, and proactive advocacy and outreach to promote public policy to pave the way for a more sustainable built environment. All of this vital work is powered by an industry-led, consensus-driven process that centres on our membership.

The U.S. Green Building Council® is committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for the planet through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings.

The LEED® green building certification program is the internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of green buildings."
